Last week we challenged ourselves by doing something out of the ordinary. The whole team including the coaches started on the license for skydiving. That wasa tough experience for everybody. It is strange when you jump out of the plane for the first time. For me it was an impressive way to learn something about myself. I could see how I react under high stress and I must say I managed ok. I believe that this kind of experience is good every now and then, even if ski jumping is a sport on the limit. Athletes who challenge themselves on a regular basis cope better with stress. There is many ways to get athletes to their personal limit and as a coach it is important to work individually to push them to take a step forward. This way of working increases the stress resistance and the performance under special circumstances. Challenge yourself every day and you will feel the difference.

Special thanks to Olso Fallskjerm Klubb for the support and the great experience they offered us. I felt safe all the time, although it was always a short moment of insecureness when the parachute opened…
