Today I made a presentation for coaches and staff of the NTG in Lillehammer. I talked about my history as a coach and what I think is important to build a long lasting system with athletes that are able to perform on top level over a long time. Therefore it is necessary to see the fact that we are working not only on the sport development, but also on the personality development. It is our responsibility as coaches to take care that young athletes become socially critical grown ups, that manage in daily life besides the sport and cope with challenges they face after their career. It was nice to give some of my experience on to others in order to work on the common goal to make Norway the most important nation in ski jumping. This will take some time, hard work and the right attitude from everyone involved in the process. So it was a positive day and I enjoyed the conversation with the coaches.
