On Frøya, a very nice small island northwest from Trondheim everything seems to be evolving around the fish industry. Huge salmon farms
and companies connected to fishing, production and delivery of sea food can be found within a few square kilometers. I was invited there to the yearly breakfast meeting of business people to talk about my first impression about Norwegians and how to imply a winner philosophy into a different culture. Even though the basic idea stays the same you have to adapt to the people you work with. I understand that motivational work has to fit to the surroundings you work in. Otherwise one ends up with delivery failure and the message you send is not understood. The best short cut to get to the people of another country is to learn the language, the habits and some details about history. To motivate and inspire you have to mingle, only when you are standing in the middle of the stream you can determine how strong the flow is and where it is taking you.
